Rob McDonald, founder of RobMcPRO, has had an impressive journey - from English professional footballer at the highest level to internationally acclaimed coach and football mediator.

Born on 22 January 1959 at Hull, England, McDonald began his football career at Hull City at the age of 16. Two years later, he signed his first professional contract. A tall, strong striker, he made a name for himself, but his career took a decisive turn when he made the move to the Netherlands.

At PSV Eindhoven celebrated the highlight of his playing career in 1986: winning the Eredivisie. He has played alongside and against some of the biggest names in international football. His impressive CV includes Newcastle United, Sporting Lisbon and Besiktas.

From player to trainer

After a prolific playing career, McDonald put his knowledge and experience to use as a head coach. He obtained all his trainers' licences and was at the helm of clubs in the highest divisions of South Africa, Netherlands, Slovakia and Ireland.

In recent years, McDonald has developed into a key link between investors and clubs. His insight into the football world and strong negotiation skills have led to successful partnerships, including:
